Explore is an intensive language immersion program offered each year by La Cité. If you want to learn English or French and improve your level while discovering Canada's capital city, the Explore La Cité program is for you!
This summer, Explore will be delivered remotely!
This 5-week French immersion program will be done remotely this year. Our team is planning a schedule full of super interesting virtual activities to improve your French language skills. Become a part of our proud Francophone institution this summer!
As part of our program, you will be able to attend synchronous grammar classes, participate in live broadcasts, and have fun in conversation workshops with people from all across Canada. Our credit language courses are taught by dynamic and experienced teachers.

How much does it cost?
The program itself is free by applying for a scholarship at Explore
Registration fees are $275* per participant
* You will be reimbursed in full at the end of the program
Am I eligible?
To be eligible at La Cité, you must meet the following TWO criteria:
Have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status*
Be 18 years of age and over when the Explore program begins
For other eligibility criterias
There are no language-skill requirements. If you meet the above criteria, you may be eligible for a place funded by the Government of Canada.
* People who hold a visa to study in Canada are not eligible
Throughout the program, you will discover many museums, attractions, activities, and entertainment in Ottawa, right from the comfort of your computer, tablet, or smartphone! With plenty of virtual options for all ages, including behind-the-scenes tours, live shows, and cooking lessons, you'll easily be able to access the best of Canada's Capital without leaving your home.

How it works!
Choose La Cité when you fill out the Explore form
Once your registration has been completed and you have paid your registration fees, a member of the Explore La Cité team will contact you and provide you with all of the necessary details.
